May 13, 2022 - Several Red Creek student athletes took the field on Friday, May 13th as part of the Wayne-Finger Lakes Special Olympics. Schools from across the region competed at Sodus Central School District, which hosted the 2022 Olympic Games. Eleven Red Creek students in grades 7-12 made the trip.

Before heading on the bus, a crowd of students filled the hallways of Red Creek High School to cheer on the student athletes as they headed towards the bus.

Once the students arrived in Sodus, they took a lap around the track as part of the opening ceremony of the games. Each group of student athletes held up a banner representing their school. As Red Creek was introduced, the student athletes marched down the track with chants of “Red Creek! Red Creek!” coming from the group.
